Creamy mushroom sauce
Ingredients
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 3 whole garlic cloves
- 1/2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Directions
- In a large pan, heat olive oil to medium heat low and add garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the garlic has a light golden brown color.
- Increase the heat to medium and add mushrooms. Cook the mushrooms for 3-4 minutes stirring gently.
- Add butter (2 tbsp).
- Once butter melts add flour (1/2 tbsp) and mix in until dissolved.
- Pour in milk (1/2 cup) and bring heat down to a simmer.
- Season sauce with salt (1/4 tbsp), pepper (1/2 tsp), and garlic powder (1 tsp).
- Let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Serve.
